Eric Janson

Eric grew up in Huntington, New York. He received his BA from Roanoke College in 1975 and JD, (cum laude), from New York Law School in 1981. After his first year at New York Law School, he was invited to join the New York Law School Law Review as a Notes & Comments editor. He and another classmate represented New York Law School in the Frederick Mugel Tax Law competition. They received Runner-up Best Brief and Best Oral Advocate.
Eric’s practice focused on wills, trusts, and estate planning for families, especially for those with average means. He said often
- The client’s interests always come first,
- Every client was treated like a family member
Eric taught Estate Planning and Probate at Vermont Law School for 20 years. Many of his students practice in the Upper Valley and still call on him for advice with difficult cases.
Eric has a 35 year member of the National Ski Patrol. He enjoys riding his bicycle and sailing on Lake Champlain. WHen he is not sailing, you will typically find him hiking one of New Hampshire’s 4,000 foot peaks.
