Creating access to low-barrier health services
Primary care, specialty medical care, on-site diagnostic testing, immunizations, and nursing visits are a few of the services your gift can support. Many of our patients report delaying care before accessing our services; leaving only the Emergency Room as an alternative option for care. This causes a significant financial burden on our patients and places a strain on our local health systems capacity for care. Our staff and volunteers meet our patients where they are on their care journey to provide high-quality, person-centered care. When complex needs arise, our teams work tirelessly to help our patients access the resources they need for long-term health and well-being. Behavioral Health Services Accessible to All
The behavioral health services offered at Good Neighbor Health Clinic help individuals struggling with mental and behavioral health issues, who are already navigating complex life challenges, be empowered in navigating their own care journey. We offer specialized services with Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Psychiatrists to provide well-rounded and coordinated mental health services. In partnership with Geisel School of Medicine, we are able to have Psychiatry residents provide direct patient care, committing each institution to the highest standard of educational, ethical, and professional care in all that we do. Your gift ensures more individuals have integrated services, designed to meet all of their health needs.
Expanding Opportunities for Dental Care
Access to affordable dental care remains a growing concern in our rural region, but Red Logan Dental Clinic works hard to fill the care gap. Each year, the dental clinic provides over $400,000 of cost-free services to patients through preventative care appointments, fillings, cleanings, deep cleanings, and simple extractions. In some cases, the clinic is also able to complete surgical extractions, crowns, denture creation, and complete referrals for endodontic care. Deep connections with New England Dental Schools allow the clinic to impact the oral health of even more of our community members, while providing opportunities for Dental Externs to provide care in public health settings. Connecting Neighbors to Resources for Wellness
Listening to the feedback of our patients is an important way for our organization to continue expand the programs and services that we provide to help meet the growing needs of individuals here in the Upper Valley. Thanks to your support, we continue to be able to make improvements in the services we offer including the recent addition of patient nutrition supports, the introduction of a cost-free vending machine providing access to resources outside of business hours, insurance navigation support, access to a community corner stocker with personal care items and clothing, and warm handoffs to other community organizations able to assist with social determinant of health related needs.

At this time, we DO NOT have opportunities available for individuals without clinical licensure. In order to be a clinical volunteer, we require Vermont licensure. Volunteer roles are based on current needs and may change as new opportunities arise.
