Lead Trusts
A charitable lead trust (CLT) is a philanthropic tool that lets you put your assets to work at Good Neighbor Health Clinic now, while providing for you or your family in the future, free of estate and gift taxes.
How It Works
- Establish a CLT with your own advisors and name Good Neighbor Health Clinic as the income beneficiary.
- Good Neighbor Health Clinic will receive annual gifts from the trust for a set term of years typically between 10 and 20. You can direct funds to either an unrestricted, discretionary fund, or to a specific program or care area that interests you and your family.
- At the end of the term, Good Neighbor Health Clinic will transfer the remaining principal and appreciation back to you or your heirs (typically children and grandchildren) outside of probate, avoiding estate taxes.
